This major manufacturing operation has gained significant market share in the last several years through a strong customer focus and improvement on the equipment in the Production Facility located on the southern outskirts of Brisbane. Producing a perishable product to high quality standards and dealing with major and independent retailers this company continues to invest in the operation and seeks to gain strategic improvements in the production area including implementation of a computerized maintenance system.

 This newly created role will directly supervise a team of trade’s staff and work on reducing ‘down time’ and create greater efficiencies for supporting what is a time critical production operation. Also important will be managing work flows and workloads, coordinating projects and ensuring appropriate materials and permits are in place when required and making sure the parts inventory is relevant, well kept and managed in accordance with ongoing and project requirements

Experience in creating improvements in maintenance and managing maintenance staff is important. Experience in the installation of a computerized maintenance system is also relevant. Mechanical aptitude or a mechanical background will be advantageous. This is a dynamic growing business that has a track record of developing and investing in staff.
