The Office of Clean Energy has an exciting opportunity for a senior professional who can contribute to the development and implementation of policy, programs and regulatory frameworks to deliver the Queensland Government’s clean energy priorities.
 
The Office of Clean Energy is the Queensland Government’s lead agency for developing world-class initiatives in renewable energy, demand side management and energy efficiency. Our key priority is to accelerate the deployment of clean energy technologies and infrastructure in Queensland.
 
The Office of Clean Energy is part of the Department of Employment Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI). Through its activities the Office of Clean Energy supports DEEDI to develop a globally competitive, sustainable Queensland Economy.
 
Operating from within the Office of Clean Energy, you will be involved in managing and contributing to the Policy Development Unit’s work program and assisting its Director to deliver the Government’s major clean energy policy platforms – including the Queensland Renewable Energy Plan.
 
The position of Manager, Clean Energy Policy, manages the activities of the Clean Energy Policy team (including the preparation of major policy papers and submissions for Government consideration and letters of reply on complex policy issues), as well as develops and maintains key stakeholder relationships (including across industry, all levels of government, and on a whole-of-Government basis) on major policy and program initiatives. 
 
You will be involved in representing the Queensland Government in discussions with community, industry and governments at all levels to identify opportunities for policy development and gather feedback to inform government decision making processes.
 
To be successful in this role, you will be a dynamic and highly motivated individual with experience at a senior level in the industry. Strategic knowledge and a strong understanding of the renewable energy industry in Queensland, Australia and internationally are highly desirable. You will have the capacity to deal with high level managers and industry leaders on complex issues relating to the Queensland renewable energy market.
