THE Toyota Fraser Island Fishing Expo has set a new record even before the 20th anniversary event begins.
Registrations sold out one month before the competition, which will be held at Orchid Beach on the north-east corner of Fraser Island from May 24-30.
The 1500 places allocated to competitors for the event have already been filled - making the event the first sell-out.
A total prize pool of more than $200,000 has also set a new benchmark for the event.
The major prize draw on the final night of the event will be a popular attraction.
The 2003 first prize is a four-wheel drive SR5 V6 Dual cab valued at $46,772, and the second prize is a Southwind Stealth side console boat with trailer and 60 horsepower Yamaha outboard, valued at $27,500.
Third prize is a Toyota Echo 3-door hatch valued at $18,284, and the fourth prize a Daihatsu Sirion valued at $15,690.
The combined value of the first four prizes is more than $108,000.
You can bet all the winners will yell out ``Oh What A Feeling", as everyone has the opportunity to win because there will be a lucky draw out of a barrel for the major prizes.
